Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Passkey when you use the service at passkeyprep.com. Please read them before creating an account. By signing up you accept these terms.

About Passkey

Passkey is an independent study tool for CISI professional qualifications. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. The name CISI and the exam materials belong to their respective owners.

Your account

You need an account to use Passkey. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away at hello@passkeyprep.com if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

You must be at least 16 to create an account. One person, one account. Don't share login details.

Pricing, billing and cancellation

Passkey offers two paid options. The Pass Package is £49 one-time and grants full access until your exam date, capped at 3 months from the purchase date. The Monthly Pass is £19 per month and renews until cancelled. Both are billed through Stripe in GBP. Passkey is currently available to UK-based customers only; we plan to open up to other regions once the appropriate VAT plumbing is in place.

The Monthly Pass can be cancelled at any time from your account and will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, UK-based consumers have a 14-day right to cancel after first subscribing. Because Passkey is a digital service delivered immediately, by starting to use the service during that 14-day window you consent to supply beginning and lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed.

The Pass Package is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and does not auto-renew. Refunds are offered either under the 80% mock guarantee described below, or on a case-by-case basis for unused access within 14 days of purchase where no significant use has been made. The 80% mock guarantee

If you (a) purchased the Pass Package or held an active Monthly Pass, (b) averaged 80% or higher across your last three Passkey mock exams, (c) sat the real CISI Introduction to Securities & Investment exam within 30 days of those three mocks, and (d) did not pass, we will refund the amount you paid for the access that covered those mocks. Email your CISI result to hello@passkeyprep.com within 14 days of the real exam. This guarantee is offered in good faith; we reserve the right to decline refund requests that involve misuse or abuse of the service.

Content and quality

Questions and explanations are generated using AI and reviewed against the CISI syllabus. We work hard to keep them accurate, but we can't guarantee they are free of error. Passkey is a study aid, not a replacement for the official CISI workbook or any other form of preparation. Passing or failing the CISI exam is your responsibility.

If you spot a question that looks wrong, please report it inside the app or email us. We fix things quickly.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • scrape or republish our questions and explanations;
  • share your login with other people;
  • try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
  • use Passkey to train competing AI models;
  • use the service for anything illegal.

We can suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Intellectual property

All content on Passkey, including AI-generated questions, notes, explanations, and design, belongs to us. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for your own exam preparation while your account is active.

Changes to the service

We're actively iterating. Features may be added, changed, or removed. If we materially reduce paid features, we'll let paying subscribers know in advance and offer a pro-rata refund for the remaining period.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@passkeyprep.com. We'll remove your personal data in line with our privacy policy.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim connected to Passkey is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or £50 if you haven't paid us anything).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under UK law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects your rights, we'll email account holders and update the date at the top of this page. Minor wording changes won't trigger an email.
