Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and PasskeyPrep when you use the service at passkeyprep.com. Please read them before creating an account. By signing up you accept these terms.

About PasskeyPrep

PasskeyPrep is an independent study tool for CISI professional qualifications. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. The name CISI and the exam materials belong to their respective owners.

Your account

You need an account to use PasskeyPrep. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us straight away at hello@passkeyprep.com if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

You must be at least 16 to create an account. One person, one account. Don't share login details.

Pricing, billing and cancellation

PasskeyPrep offers a free plan (chapter 1 of every supported exam, including practice questions, study notes and flashcards) and two paid options, each a one-off purchase granting complete access for 90 days from the purchase date: a one-paper pass (£59) covering one supported exam of your choice in full, and an all-papers pass (£89) covering all fourteen supported exams in full. A one-paper pass can be widened to all fourteen papers for the remainder of its 90 days by paying a £30 upgrade, or at no charge through the referral upgrade described below. Passes bought before 3 September 2026 cover all fourteen supported exams for the rest of their 90 days. We may adjust what the free plan includes over time. It is billed through Stripe in GBP. A small number of early accounts hold a legacy monthly plan that is no longer offered to new customers; it continues under its original terms until the holder cancels it from the Stripe billing portal. PasskeyPrep is currently available to UK-based customers only; we plan to open up to other regions once the appropriate VAT plumbing is in place.

Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, UK-based consumers have a 14-day right to cancel after purchase. Because PasskeyPrep is a digital service delivered immediately, by starting to use the service during that 14-day window you consent to supply beginning and lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed.

Each pass is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and does not auto-renew. Refunds are offered on a case-by-case basis for unused access within 14 days of purchase where no significant use has been made. Contact hello@passkeyprep.com for refund requests.

Referral upgrade

Signed-in customers get a personal referral link. If a person who arrived through your link buys their first pass, and you hold a valid one-paper pass at that time, your pass is widened to all fourteen supported exams at no charge for the remainder of its 90 days. If you have not bought a pass yet, the upgrade is held and applied to the first one-paper pass you buy. The upgrade applies once per account, does not extend the 90 days, and has no cash value. A referred person can be counted once, and you cannot refer yourself or an account you control. If the referred purchase is refunded in full we may treat the referral as void. We may change or withdraw the referral upgrade for future referrals at any time; an upgrade already applied is not affected.

The 80% mock guarantee

If you (a) hold a paid pass (one-paper or all-papers, or a legacy monthly plan that is no longer sold to new customers) that covers the exam in question, (b) averaged 80% or higher across your last three PasskeyPrep mock exams, (c) sat the corresponding real CISI exam within 30 days of those three mocks, and (d) did not pass, we will refund the amount you paid for the access that covered those mocks. Email your CISI result to hello@passkeyprep.com within 14 days of the real exam.

The guarantee was withdrawn on 13 August 2026 and reinstated on 26 August 2026. It applies to every paid pass purchase, including those made in between, so nobody is worse off for having bought while it was paused. The 80% threshold is the condition for the guarantee, not a claim that any mock score predicts an individual result. It is offered in good faith; we reserve the right to decline requests that involve misuse or abuse of the service, and to withdraw it again for future purchases, which would not affect anyone who bought while it was in force.

Content and quality

Questions and explanations are written and reviewed against the official CISI syllabus. We work hard to keep them accurate, but we can't guarantee they are free of error. PasskeyPrep is a study aid, not a replacement for the official CISI workbook or any other form of preparation. Passing or failing the CISI exam is your responsibility.

If you spot a question that looks wrong, please report it inside the app or email us. We fix things quickly.

An optional AI-assisted tutor may explain our approved content in a different way and ask a formative follow-up question. AI can make mistakes. It does not replace the official workbook, provide personal financial advice, decide the correct answer, or change your readiness score. You can report an AI response inside the product. key's replies are study help, not advice, and the approved answer remains authoritative.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • scrape or republish our questions and explanations;
  • share your login with other people;
  • try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
  • use PasskeyPrep to train competing AI models;
  • use the service for anything illegal.

We can suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

Intellectual property

All content on PasskeyPrep, including the questions, notes, explanations, and design, belongs to us. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for your own exam preparation while your account is active.

Changes to the service

We're actively iterating. Features may be added, changed, or removed. If we materially reduce paid features, we'll let paying subscribers know in advance and offer a pro-rata refund for the remaining period.

Closing your account

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@passkeyprep.com. We'll remove your personal data in line with our privacy policy.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim connected to PasskeyPrep is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or £50 if you haven't paid us anything).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under UK law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects your rights, we'll email account holders and update the date at the top of this page. Minor wording changes won't trigger an email.
